6/18/2016 0 Comments COPIC MARKERS WHERE TO START?COPIC MARKERS AAGH!! You all know how much i love my copic markers. i have a total of 50 copic markers but i will order new ones soon. i need some new skin tones and greens. but what are copic markers and what colors do you need to get to start? Let me tell you.. what are copic markers?Copic markers are available in 358 permanent, non-toxic, alcohol-based ink colors and are refillable using standard color ink refills. The refill inks can be mixed to create custom colors, and empty markers are sold for this purpose. Sketch markers, which are the most popular version, have a chisel-style tip at one end and a brush tip at the other, though additional styles of replaceable nibs and tips are available. The company also sells an airbrush system which utilizes either an air compressor or canned air to blow ink off the tips of the markers onto the paper. Copic markers are mostly used for illustrations. Copic markers blend perfectly on paper and thats because they are alcohol- based markers. You can blend colors from brown to pink or yellow and dark blue etc. I really recomend these markers to everyone!! What colors do i need to get? When i first discoverd copic markers i did not know what colors to get, there are so many to choose from. So i looked everywhere on the internet for help. I did not want to get a set of 24/36 because i did not liked all the colors in it. So i dicided to make my own set i looked for colors that i wanted and here is a gude to a basic copic set you should start with: Skin tones : E00, E21, R02, R20 (optional), W3 Blue tones : B21, B45, B24 Green tones : G99, YG06, YG17 Pink tones : RV11, RV34, R39 Basic tones : YR07, R27, Y15, V09 (optional), R89 (optional) Black tones : 100, 110 (optional) Grey tones : C3, C5, C7, or N3, N5, C7 (Neutral grey ipv Cool Grey) Brown tones : E37, E49, E29, E33 i started with that set. And from there i just added more colors that i liked. |
